Tasmania’s largest
community recreation facility
The Northern Suburbs Community Recreation Hub (the Hub) is more than just a building – it’s a place for connection, movement, learning, and fun. Located in Mowbray, Launceston, the Hub will be Tasmania’s largest multi-purpose community, sporting, and recreation facility, proudly supported by the Tasmanian Government, Australian Government and the City of Launceston.
With over 10,000 square metres of indoor space and plenty of outdoor facilities, the Hub has been designed with the community at its heart. It’s a safe, inclusive and accessible space where people of all ages and abilities can come together – to play sport, get active, share a meal, learn new skills, or simply catch up with friends.
Opening in early 2026, the Hub will be a game-changer for northern Tasmania, creating opportunities for healthier lifestyles, stronger community connections, and exciting local events.
Who You’ll Find at the Hub
Two of northern Tasmania’s most well-loved organisations will call The Hub home.
Together, PCYC North and NTNA will ensure the Hub is always buzzing with activity – a true community hub where everyone can get involved.
